Be real

1 Corinthians 14:25-26 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

The last word I want to hear is disingenuous. It is vital that we all act in a manner which is true to what is real in the inner man. That is walking after the spirit. If we present ourselves to be something we are not then no one in our circle of influence will be edified.

Others cannot validate our faith. You cannot do the will of God while looking for others around you to report that God is in you.

John 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

Your faith is vain if it seeks the praise of men. Every act of obedience of faith only looks to obey to the glory of God and does not care to see the result. Your faith may be weak or immature but the confirmation of saving faith is not in being seen of men but rather in doing God’s will.

If you are insecure in your faith, say so, confess your fears, allow yourself to be edified by others. To be real is all we ask. We cannot help if you hide the inner man behind the outward and seeming man who is disingenuous. Be real.

It is not always easy to know if the changes in the inner man are wrought by God or of self will. Men are told to buck up and be a man. Men want to raise men. God wants to raise sons.

My Version

John 10:10a The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: KJV

John 10:10 The enemy only comes to steal my peace, kill my faith and destroy my ministry. LPV

LPV is the Larry Perry Version. It is not a literal translation it is a personal experience. What makes any verse in the bible personal is in how you experience those verses, how they become real for you.

The only reason I place steal my peace first in the order of procession is that it is the easiest to effect by the enemy. Personally I believe the biggest danger is killing faith. Not that it is the easiest thing for the enemy to effect, but that without faith anything I might do will not glorify God.

The end goal of the enemy’s attack of lies is to steal God’s glory, Satan wants it for himself. Our ministry is to glorify God and the enemy will strike at our most vulnerable point first. Enemies do not attack strongholds.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The enemy knows that if he can disrupt the peace that Christ has given to us, insecurity sets in. Insecurity leads to doubt, doubt leads to fear, and fear freezes function.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Old toothless lions can no longer chase down prey. They walk about using their loud voice to create fear if possible, to freeze their prey into inactivity. Fear kills faith in that it no longer walks in the way.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
