It is Time

1 Thessalonians 5:18-24 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Yesterday I spoke to the issues of influence, being under the tutor with respect to workman like effort. There has to come a time when the Holy Spirit takes you beyond these tutors and begins an earnest work in you. This is not to say that what some of your tutors said is wrong or bad, but the Holy Spirit will instruct you in truth. Hold on to what is good. Let the rest go without judgment or ranker.

At this time in your walk, being led by the spirit, embrace the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Proving all things requires a check in your spirit, to allow the Holy Spirit to determine the right course of action because He knows the will of God. He is God.

Philippians 1:6, 10-11 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Appointments

Galatians 4:1-7 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

I never had a personal tutor. Never had a governess. Never was under a teacher of any sorts for a long time. I was under a preacher for a period of time but I was young, unimpressed and did not know the difference between preaching and teaching. Then I was baptized of the Holy Ghost. No man did it, Jesus Christ Himself did the honors.

The scriptures became alive in me and I thirsted like never before. I couldn’t get enough. I sat under some wonderful teachers and then under one not so wonderful. That is when I reached out to the writers of the past and discovered a turn of the century author who I could connect with. I did not know why at the time but as I developed my God given gift it became apparent why. He saw everything in black and white. He was a hard man with clear lines and a sharp tongue. This fed into my prophetic nature, black and white, judgmental, no grace, no mercy, get on board or get out of the way.

Then the Holy Spirit showed me his errors. They were becoming mine and that would not be tolerated.
