Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Did your father ask what you would like to have as an inheritance? Did you get to pick and choose all the things which your father had that were most precious to you? I dare say most people didn’t get that opportunity. Most of us get whatever dad wanted us to have.
Imagine this if you can. You are standing before the Throne of God and the Father says to Jesus, “Choose your inheritance.” Everything in all creation lays before His feet, the earth with all its riches and beauty, jewels and gold and art, and all that nature offers is His for the choosing.
Then Jesus looks you in the eye and points to you and says, “This is my heart’s desire!”
James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Don’t you want to be that precious in His sight? Don’t you want to be loved like that?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Believe in Him.
A beautiful, tender and touching message, dear bro. My heart is warmed by it. Thank you.
And my heart is warmed as well. Your message prompted that beautiful verse in 1Peter 2:7….”unto you therefore which believe, HE is precious.” This is what I call “spiritual perpetual motion”…the more I realize how precious I am to HIM, the more precious HE becomes to me. I love a song that I heard sung by a Southern Gospel group…”I just keep falling in love with Him over and over again, He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by, oh what a love between my Lord and I, I just keep falling in love with Him, over and over again.” Thank you dear brother for “making my day”!!!
