Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
Paul refers to a great mystery in Ephesians chapter 5. He does not say greatest mystery, just great. It is interesting to me that this great mystery is not a mystery at all. That which is known is not a mystery. I do understand that for many, even believers, there are still mysteries. What classifies a mystery as being great or even perhaps the greatest mystery of all?
Is it lack of understanding that makes it great? Is it the obstacles that must be removed; how can faith remove a mountain to the sea? Is it seen in the motivations behind actions? Why would God (insert your mystery here)? I believe we all have our share of mysteries to uncover.
One of the greater mysteries to me is how God chooses to do what, to whom and when with this power which only He can wield. If He is a sovereign God then He should be able to enact His will at any time. He heals one and not another yet loves both equally. That is such a mystery to me. I’ve been on the receiving end of that and it perplexes me. Why me Lord?
I’ve been reviewing some issues of impossible tasks. All things are possible with God yet there are places within scriptures where it clearly says “it is impossible”. When it comes to those moments I wonder if the only thing impossible is understanding. Then the Holy Spirit pierces my heart with truth and I discover myself wrong once again.

Why do so many 3:16 verse carry powerful and meaningful truths?
