John 6:48 I am that bread of life.
Once a month we serve communion. We offer both the unleavened and the leavened bread. I always make a point to partake of the leavened bread. I suppose it doesn’t matter, but we are told to do this in remembrance of what Christ did for us. Christ represents both the unleavened and the leavened bread.
Christ lived the perfect sinless life, He was the unleavened bread of life. While on the cross all the sins of all mankind for all time were placed upon Him. He died for those sins, yours and mine. The bull without spot was slain for the sins of Israel, its atoning blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat.
Hebrews 10:9-10 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
I worship, follow, and obey the risen Christ, the leavened bread of life.
