Proverbs 11:23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
As I alluded to yesterday, none are righteous but Christ and any righteousness in us is Christ in us.
Yet I still want to be right and seen as a person to be trusted. I do this with all good intentions. Just how successful I am at it is debated by many. This whole debate came about because of my doubts as to the use of the word Easter in Acts 14:4.
Many learned men allowed the translation to stand in the KJV bible. I shall not substitute my judgement for theirs. They must have had a reason for it. What I discovered trying to uncover the reason was name calling, and judgement of another’s faith. As to my own issues, I have kept them to myself. I only share those opinions with mature men whom I trust and love me. They have proven themselves to me again and again.
Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
The Word does not say one opinion is right and the other wrong. We each have to live with ourselves in what we esteem to be important, and that which is trivial. How we walk by faith in trivial matters should never cause a break in relationship with the rest of the body of Christ.
Walking requires balance and both the left and right foot cannot step out at the same time. Left or right, it matters not as long as balance is achieved.
Unity of faith is the key that works in us to keep the body of Christ balanced.
