John14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Yesterday I ended my devotional by saying God provided a way. If you have placed your faith in Christ you have access to the Father by faith, His way of communing with us. This is a most precious truth for those who are born again and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. To the rest of the world it is the most hated and vial of scriptures because it says whatever they are doing is wrong. They claim it is not fair.
Let us lay aside the promises for a moment and speak directly to this issue of fairness. It is my contention that God is perfect in every aspect. One of the aspects of God is fairness. He is a just God. God would not be unfair to anyone, no matter how evil or corrupt. All are be treated the same. If an offer is made to one, it is made to all.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The best known bible verse in all the world speaks this fairness plainly. Whosoever will place their faith in Christ will receive the promises of God, eternal life being one of them. For some people it is the only one that matters. Does that say that all are given a seed of faith to plant? It implies that it does but other scriptures are more plain in that pronouncement.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
This says each man (and woman) has been given a measure of faith. Now where you place that faith will determine what that seed of faith produces.
Matthew 25:25, 30 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The unprofitable servant planted his faith in the earth(world).
That final point is powerful. Mother Earth, Earth Day, PETA, and a host of other things are the outgrowth of that – worshipping the creation rather than the Creator.
Yes Fred and it doesn’t stop there. I will address this tomorrow.
