Jehovahnissi

Exodus 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

We have asked ourselves who God is in character and personality and in His nature. Now let us ask ourselves who God is in relationship. I can think of no better place to start than with this Jehovah name Nissi.

The Lord is my banner.

This issue of an altar is a place to worship. Worship the Lord your banner. It signifies He goes before you. It signifies to the enemy who you follow. It signifies who you serve. It is a memorial of hope and encouragement.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Has the enemy seen your colors? The rulers of darkness can only see His banner in the glorious light of your worship. There we hold Him high.

The army of the enemy are those who serve him in darkness and must see Jehovahnissi as you bring His light to the battle ground of lost souls.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

John 12:36a While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Hebrews 8:10b I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

This is our God, He is our banner, Jehovahnissi.
