Psalm 71:1 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
In Christ I am never confused. Unfortunately my ministry is in the world and as such I have to rely on world systems to connect with those in the world. Wouldn’t it be nice to just receive a Word from the Lord, pray that Word and you receive it? But God doesn’t work that way does He?
We do not all have the same gifts. My gifts, given unto me by God for service to His Kingdom, is to be a voice you can hear if you do not have my gift. If you have my gifts, you might not even need these devotionals. Not all people do and that is fine with me. I am here for those who do not.
That puts us back in the world system of connection via the internet since this is where my ministry is located. A failure in communication can be on my internet connection, which I have had for the past two days, or at your end. We are dependent on world systems.
What we should not do is depend on world systems to be a stumbling block to service. We have options and those options are ours to choose. More importantly, we should not get frustrated when world systems fail. That is what they do. They are not God, they cannot be trusted with the same degree of faithfulness as our Lord and Savior.
I got off the phone with my Internet Service Provider after scheduling yet but another service call. The kind and polite lady left me with that standard line, given to her to say to everyone regardless of the circumstance, problem, solution or emotions. “Thank you for choosing CenturyLink.”
My God has never said that to me. “Thank you for choosing my Son Jesus Christ.”
Why? Because He never hangs up on me.
Hebrew 13:5d I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
We could change the song a bit, and sing:
“No, no, You never hang up, never hang up on me…”
Thanks again.
