Oppression

Zechariah 7:9-12 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.

Any religion which oppresses people by restriction of expression of faith and will not reason with those who oppose their beliefs has at the core of their faith, no faith in the power of their deity to defend them.

2 Peter 2:9-10 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Presumptuous pride allows them to speak boldly the lies which they hold dear to themselves because their power is in oppression and not God. One cannot test faith by holding a gun to the head or a sword to the throat. Faith is tested by holding truth to the ear of the hearer. The enemy Satan understands that and so encourages oppression.

Note the warning, the day of judgment is coming.
