John 6:6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
Prove to me that God exists.
I can’t.
Prove to me that God loves me.
I can’t.
Prove to me that Jesus rose from the dead.
I can’t.
Then how can you say you are a Christian?
Because God has proven Himself in me.
Well I don’t believe you.
That isn’t my fault.
Have you ever had one of these frustrating conversations with a non-believer? As much as I would like for them to believe, it is not within my power to do that which only God can do. God reveals Himself and proves Himself according to His will and His purpose. All He asks of us is to love. If His love does not touch them what will?
Then there are those who have strong faith in something other than Jesus Christ. What do you say to them?
I am willing to die for my faith!!!!
I already did.
I don’t believe you.
That’s not my fault.
If they refuse to listen it is not your fault. You are only asked to speak the truth in love and let love do what love does best.
Salvation belongs to God. Psalm 3:8
Practical and straight from the hip. You beautifully stressed the key essential, “love”. Thanks, Lar.
