Psalm 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Yesterday’s title was My Reward and when you opened and read it, I gave you Psalm 19. Think back to your first reaction is seeing just scripture. Be honest with yourself in how that made you feel. Were you frustrated? Were you disappointed? Did you feel let down?
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Or were you delighted to see His Word?
I am speaking to those among you that have not yet come of full age to understand this delight. You have not delighted in the law of the Lord. Not yet any way. For the unlearned your delight is still associated with your carnal mind which has not yet been transformed. The whole reward associated with Psalm 19 yesterday is about change.
Converting the soul, making wise the simple, rejoicing the heart, and enlightening the eyes are all indications of change, becoming this new creation in Christ. Just like the tree planted by the water in Psalm 1, growth takes time and fruit cannot be produced until the tree comes of a certain age. Until that appointed time the tree can do nothing but absorb nourishment and light and grow.
Fabulous! Such a powerful and needful message – and again, so well said!
You have blessed me this morning!
