1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

For this purpose the Son was manifested.

At some point we all ask ourselves why does God love me? I’ve seen men reject the free will offering of salvation on this one point alone. God created us to beloved and to return that love. Love needs an object of affection. Love does not exist alone. Man searches his whole life to find love and to share love. Love is the only reason God created the universe to begin with.

Love has to be a choice, a free will offering. If it were not, then we would be nothing but puppets on a string to be toyed with. That isn’t love. Not as God loves. Satan messed that up from the very beginning with his whispering lies. It was not what God intended but Go could not interfere without destroying choice.

So the Son of God was manifested, made flesh, became man, to counter the lies with truth. But truth, in order to cancel out lies, to destroy the works of the devil, have to be believed.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

These are just words. If you choose to believe they take on a whole new life, new meaning, because your positional condition is changed when you do. Believe and enter His Kingdom, be in Christ.

Now the enemy will whisper his last two words in a final ditch effort to keep you in bondage.
