Take Heed

1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Take heed Paul declares, be careful. In this very effort to bring you a message I find myself trying to be careful. My first impulse was to call this Construction Material because the materials one choses can have consequences which are devastating in the end. Reference the Three Little Pigs.

Then again I wondered about calling it Craftsmanship. Even with the right materials, if you do not have the skills to put them together rightly, things can fall apart. Reference Jenga Pieces.

I dismissed the urge to call this DIY because the very name itself implies self-effort and in that one will either be a copycat or do what pleases self.

Maybe this would have been better called indecision because I’ve been so indecisive.  But I chose take heed because you are the ones that will have to make the choices for yourselves. At this point I want you to answer me this; what are you building?

If you are not sure, go to 1 Corinthians 3:9 and read the last words.

Ultimately the care and concern you have in that construction has to be a matter of the choices you make in understanding the blueprints, the building materials, the craftsmanship, and the effort you put forth to achieve God’s will for you.

1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

You will be tested.
