Time Spent

Job 7:6 My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.

I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trying to describe to you this God I serve. I could spend the next six months talking about the character and actions of my God and still have only scratched the surface. If I did, I fear that some would tire and fall away. I don’t want that and I believe God does not want that either.

These days we live in are filled with action and adventure. It is hard to keep people’s attention. It is hard to keep people in your life. It is hard because it isn’t all up to you. People have to find time for you and you have to find time for them. Meaningful relationships flourish only where both parties make time for each other. This is why a relationship with this Eternal God is so easy to maintain. He is Omnipresent, He is there all the time, everywhere.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The burden of relationship is all on our part. As with any relationship shared interests keep relationships active and meaningful. God does not covet things, He covets people. God is not interested in things, He is interested in people. Things cannot love you. God loves you.

It is now time to move on to our next subject of interest. I’ve been thinking on this for some time and I spent a month on faith and two weeks on “this God”. I want to remain simplistic in my approach but cover these interests with enough detain for a good or valued understanding. I do not desire to wear you out with exhaustive studies, so please understand there will be things on each topic left for you to discover on your own. My hope is that you will.
