Ephesians 3:10 English Standard Version (ESV) so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
We have often wondered just who about these rulers and authorities in heavenly places. That is ambiguous. We will answer those questions for ourselves to seek peace of mind. What if that is the wrong question?
Why is it that these rulers and authorities do not know the manifold wisdom of God?
That brings into question the ability of those rulers and authorities to interfere with the actions of the church in this present age. Think of that lack of knowledge as a hedge of protection as we, the church, enact God’s will.
Satan and his minions only know history that has already occurred. The do not know the future. They can only hound us with what we were but not who we are or those things that will occur. This is the primary reason that forgiveness of sin is vital in the performance of the church serving God.
Looking back to the sacrifices, it was the daily sacrifices, enacted by the individual that cleansed the individual’s conscience which allowed them to move forward in serve rather than being hung up on the past. Our daily confession and repentance serves that same purpose. It keeps us walking in God’s will.
God knows all things and in order to share with us instructions to enact His will, we must be focused on Him and not ourselves. Rulers and authorities can see what the church has done in past ages and by history know the only way to influence the church is by bring up our past.
“I am not that person any more. I am a new creation in Christ.”
Their only answer to that comment is; “Who do you think you are?”
Luckily we do not have to think. We need only believe what we are told by the Holy Spirit thru revelation.
