1 Corinthians 4:21 What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
Do you have a child that refuses to surrender to the Lord? How did you present the gospel? Did you try the Old Testament style? Spare the rod and spoil the child. Did you come with authority? Eat, it’s good for you. Perhaps you put it off because just like having “THE talk” it makes you uncomfortable.
I dare say if that child is grown up past a certain age, parenting isn’t going to work if it has not already. Here is my heartfelt advice, as one who knows. Live the life Christ has given you by faith. My parents did not lead me to Christ and insisting that you “have to save” your child may delay their surrender.
Pray to God that He will send one who can touch your child as God intends. All things are possible only because God is perfect in the exercise of His will, not yours. Letting God be their Savior is the only way this works.
We all have someone we care about but all our conversations must be honest, wise, and with meekness. When your conversation is based in fear that comes across stronger than the message of love.
A good conversation starts with a life lived. Then your words will have meaning.
