Hope

Romans 15:4

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Bible history begins with Moses. Moses has the oldest chronological documentation that has been copied over and over again and passed down through a thousand generations unchanged. History might change but the intellectual disciplines of the scribes within the Hebrew Tribes have been faithful to not change those documents.

The bible’s chronology was given with purpose, to give hope.

  • Romans 4:18
In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.”
    Romans 5:2
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Abraham became the father of faith because he hoped beyond hope that the promise of God would be kept by the only one who could keep that promise. We stand in the very middle of God’s promise being kept. Grace through faith has been our witness to a lost and dying world that God is real and He keeps HIs promises.

What we hope for matters and in our case it is to see the glory of God. At least that should be what we seek because it is God’s plan for all of us who have placed our faith in Christ.

Psalm 27:8

You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”

Face in this Psalm means presence, the essence of His person, access to the abiding presence of the Father and the Son, who has given us the Holy Spirit, so that we might know them.

My hope for everyone is to discover that it is true.

Read, believe and obey His Word.
