John 17:1-5 English Standard Version

The High Priestly Prayer

17 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

This is Christ asking the Father to glorify Himself in order that He could glorify the Father. That is the portion of this post which details the meaning of interactive design. Now the question remains as how that interaction is related to our own design.

Romans 8:29-30 English Standard Version

29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

We are called, we are justified and we are glorified. How it that possible? That is found in the words of John 17:5, glorify in His presence.

Ephesians 3:16 English Standard Version (ESV) that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

God the Father has given us His glory by giving us His Son to dwell in our hearts by faith. Now comes the real question. What interactions has He performed in each of us? Is this not our most effective witness?
